When locking the screen, show the timer as a widget so the screen doesn’t need to stay on the entire exercise.

    Widgets can be done via live activity but they don’t allow to keep the screen on always display mode which make it useless for timer functionality .

    the way apple does it for the native iOS clock app is via private api which isn’t available for developers
